The greenest headset is one that already exists
Nearly all of a headset's environmental cost is in making it — the mining, the manufacturing, the shipping. Using it costs almost nothing by comparison. So the single best thing you can do is not buy another one.
That isn't a marketing angle for us. It's the business.

The devices we keep in circulation
Every one of these is rented out, returned, refurbished and rented again — for years.
A headset in our fleet serves dozens of customers. A headset you buy serves one.
The loop
Nothing here is complicated. The device goes out, comes back, gets made ready, and goes out again. That cycle is the entire environmental argument.
- 1It shipsCharged, updated, apps installed, hygiene kit packed. Free delivery.
- 2You use itA weekend, a term, a conference. Exactly as long as you need it.
- 3It comes backPrepaid return label in the box. Nothing for you to dispose of, ever.
- 4We make it ready againCleaned, tested, repaired if needed, software updated. Then it ships to the next customer.
A headset you buy gets used a handful of times, then sits in a drawer.
A headset we own never stops working.
What renting actually changes
Fewer devices made
A headset's footprint is almost entirely in its manufacture. Ten companies sharing one fleet means nine fleets that never had to be built.
Obsolescence isn't your problem
VR hardware is a generation behind within about eighteen months. Rent, and you simply take the newer model — you're not stuck with the old one.
No disposal liability
Batteries, optics, mixed plastics, rare metals. Genuinely hard to dispose of properly — and you never have to, because you never owned it.
Right-sized, not worst-cased
Rent four headsets for the week you need four. Buying means sizing for your busiest day and idling for the rest of the year.
Repaired, not replaced
A cracked strap or a worn facial interface is a part, not a landfill decision. We fix and re-issue.
Nothing wasted on a bad bet
The worst outcome is twenty headsets bought and never used. Renting first is exactly what prevents that.
Being honest about it
We're not going to claim we're carbon neutral, or put a badge on this page that doesn't mean anything. We're a small Zürich rental company, and the headsets we rent were still manufactured by someone else.
What we can say plainly: the circular model is genuinely better than the alternative. Every device we keep in service is one that didn't need to be built, and one that isn't sitting in a drawer. If you need that documented for an ESG or procurement report, ask — we'll tell you exactly what we do and what we don't.
