Why renting makes sense
VR hardware is replaced constantly. A headset bought today is a generation behind within eighteen
months, and most of the ones companies buy end up in a cupboard long before that.
Renting means you always get the current model, you only pay for the time you use it, and
the same headset serves dozens of customers instead of one. Less electronic waste,
less capital tied up in something that depreciates fast, and no obligation to keep using it once
the novelty passes.
